This position is responsible for the design and production of marketing and communication materials, tradeshow materials and stand design, photo retouching, assisting international distributors with advertising needs when required, and working closely with vendors including printers and photographers. Highly participatory and collaborative, the ideal candidate will be an ongoing and passionate source of creative ideas and inspiration, designing solutions that achieve team objectives for NAD and PSB.

Responsibilites:

  • Working with the Marketing Services Manager and fellow team members, develop and implement creative solutions that will align with the NAD and PSB brand strategies.
  • Collaborate with fellow graphic designers to develop creative concepts, branding, collateral materials, trade show materials, presentations, and print and online advertising.
  • Respond to requests from distributors for images, logos, and other creative assets; provide graphic design and production support to distributors as required.
  • Retouch internal and external photography.
  • Assist with international trade shows, regional meetings, photo shoots (internal and external).
  • Assist web designer with creative needs and assets where necessary.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers, including printers.
  • Foster teamwork and participation among internal departments.
  • Participate in team projects and assist in gathering market intelligence, exploring creative for projects, and other initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an agency, studio or corporate marketing environment.
  • Experience in conceiving, developing, and producing graphic designs for a variety of print and online communications projects in a collaborative environment. Portfolio samples required (please indicate your role in the design if presenting collaborative work).
  • Proven record of successfully designing a wide variety of projects to completion while handling multiple tasks, changing priorities, and tight deadlines.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and a strong desire for quality and willingness to take ownership of one’s work.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills; ability to express and present creative design work/concepts.
  • High computer proficiency in a Mac environment—strong Photoshop skills; extensive working knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat; and knowledge of MS Office required. Familiarity with web-related software an asset.
  • University degree or College diploma in Graphic Design, or related experience; excellent understanding of offset printing and pre-press production.
  • Passion for accumulating knowledge of design, new trends, techniques and tools used in the graphic design field; experience in applying best practices and quality standards.
  • Keen interest in consumer electronics. Technical knowledge and/or experience in consumer electronics would be considered an asset.
  • Photography background and/or illustration skills would be considered an asset.
