Technical Support Specialist – LENBROOK AMERICA – File # 559

General
Reporting to the COO and General Manager, and being managed on a day to day basis by the Technical Sales Manager, the candidate for this position is responsible for providing front line technical support for Lenbrook America’s entire portfolio of products. 

Responsibilities
Provide technical sales support to audio/video installation customers and authorized service centers. Take trouble shooting phone calls with an emphasis on resolving technical issues in the field in an effort to eliminate the need for product to be returned. Issue return authorizations when necessary. Effective and professional communication on service and technical issues is critical.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Provide telephone technical support to customers and authorized service centers.

  • Issue WRA’s (warranty return authorizations) for product which must be returned for repair, ensuring fault of product is correctly recorded.

  • Work with Technical Sales Manager to support National Sales Managers, Sales Representatives and Sales Administration staff. Ensure details of technical issues and solutions are effectively communicated.

  • Liaison with brand manufacturers on technical issues and resolutions to be included in technical bulletins.

  • Develop working knowledge of competitive products.

  • Be able to prepare management reports regarding technical support issues, solutions and findings.

  • Travel to trade shows, vendors, warehouse and off-site technical trainings.

Qualifications

  • CET or equivalent education and CEDIA certification would be an asset
    Technical experience installing and programming Consumer Audio Video equipment

  • 800 Call Center experience

  • Strong knowledge working with MS Office – Word 6.0, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Highly motivated and able to function without direction

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Positive attitude, top notch work ethic and a team player
