Reports to Supervisor of Information Technology Services  

Working with the IT team and supporting the senior management and users, this annual contract position will be responsible for specific programming tasks.  The successful candidate must be proactive, responsible, self-motivated and an organized team player with strong multi-tasking skills.  

Responsibilities

  • Visual Basic, C++, and SQL programming, integrating changes and optimizing software in current business application software package

  • Business intelligence reports using Crystal Reports and Power Builder

  • Documentation including process flow diagrams, program documentation, and end-user documentation

  • Work with end users and management to develop solutions

  • Assist in testing and trouble-shooting of other team member solutions

  • Training end users on new solutions/processes

Qualifications

  • A University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

  • Minimum 8-10 years working experience in programming

  • Minimum 4-5 years experience Visual basic, Visual C++, specifically in business process applications

  • Minimum 4-5 years experience in Microsoft SQL server programming including stored procedures and triggers

  • Experience working with a major ERP system is a must, experience with Epicor Enterprise Software would be an asset

  • Experience in . NET programming using C#, VB. NET , or Java would be an asset

  • Good understanding of accounting practices, audits, general business principles, and process flow

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Working Knowledge of Crystal Reports Version 9.0 or higher

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills for training and documentation

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products

  • Strong documentation skills are a must

Training  

The individual will be provided with specific training and information about Lenbrook’s internal operating systems.  From time to time, the employee may wish to complete, or the company may wish to have the employee complete additional training for skills development that will improve and extend capabilities and performance of this employee.  

Equipment  

The Programmer will be provided with the use of a computer and appropriate software.  Other equipment may be provided if required by this position.
